"Around these parts, were just a bit fond of Tomb Raider, the origins story that was released to show Lara Croft as a green behind the ears explorer who was neither very good at killing, shooting or not getting herself torn to pieces by particularly pointy bits of metal. We like the gameplay, the characters and the world that is was set in and when I reviewed it a few months ago, I even thought that Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition (the PS4 and Xbox One rerelease of the 2013 game) was a cracking title too.
Obviously, I want more of it and as Im sure some sort of Yamatai prophecy suggests, you probably do to so heres a list of the 8 things that wed like to see from a Tomb Raider sequel."

Robert Workman (Prima Games): When it comes to characters that defined the video game industry, no one can touch Mario. Sure, Sonic the Hedgehog, Lara Croft and others did great things, but Mario has been around for over 30 years, with a number of adventures that fans consider legendary. He continues to thrive on the Wii U and 3DS, with games like Super Mario 3D World, as well as upcoming releases like Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart 8.
With this in mind, here are our favorite Mario moments.

| Tomb Raider creator forms new studio with former Yaiba dev team

Via Joystiq "Toby Gard, creator of Lara Croft and the Tomb Raider franchise, has formed Tangentlemen, a new development studio focused on experiential game design. The studio's team met while developing Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, which Gard served as director of, and includes Yaiba's lead designer, producer and art director.
Tangentlemen is currently in concept phase of their first project, a horror game currently being referred to as "Daedalus." In Greek mythology, Daedalus is the creator the Minotaur's labyrinth and Icarus' wings, so you know what that means: it means ... um, well let's see, the labyrinth could be ... uh ... okay, no, we have no idea what that means yet."

| Tomb Raider sales near 6 million

Ben Silverman writes:
It took a while, but Lara Crofts rebirth is finally paying off.
Publisher Square Enix has announced that cumulative sales of last years acclaimed reboot of the iconic series are closing in on 6 million units. The company says that puts the game on track to become the best-selling Lara Croft game of all time.
Thats quite a change from last May, when Square Enix said it was disappointed by sales of the game despite it selling 3.4 million copies in its first month. The company had hoped to hit 6 million out of the gate -- an absurdly high goal for a series that had not had a critical hit for several installments.
